On the move...

Drake is starting to crawl...he might only use one arm efficiently now but he is getting better (and faster!) everyday!!!

We also let him open a present early from Gramma Gramma & Pap...he needed a new distraction (and something to crawl too!) He loves all the noise and lights!

Just an update....

Not too much new with Drake...as everyone knows he is having some issues with teething, but we are getting it under control (Thanks to infant motrin, acetaminophen, and Hyland teething tablets!!!) He has moved out of his infant bath and into his "toddler" bath since he has sitting down pretty good (and since he was outgrowing his infant tub lol) Here are a few pictures of Drake enjoying his bubble bath in his new ducky tub (it quacks if you squeeze the beak!)

Sorry it has been so long but with both Mommy and Daddy working they don't have much time to update the blog!! Here are a few videos of Drake's newest accomplishments...

He has also found a favorite toy at his daycare...the blue dog that he can ride on. We are already looking into buying him one for the house :)

He has been enjoying daycare and making new friends...all of who are girls :)

So that is what we have been up to....we will try to be better about updating now that we have figured out our schedule!!

Bananas!!!!!!!

Drake seemed to like the bananas. We will be trying a new food each week...hopefully we get some funny faces from him. We started safe with bananas...what should we try next??

Our wedding cake...and yes we did each eat some of it for our anniversary for good luck....we are not taking any chances! It was pretty good for traveling from TX to SC and then to CA lol

Drake tries cereal...

Drake got to try oatmeal cereal for the first time..here is what happened....

As you can see he has some crazy hair every now and then lol 

Now you can see how Drake has grown to love his bouncy!!

He would stay in there all day if we let him!! We can't hardly believe that he can reach the floor now, seems like that happened over night!

 He loves holding onto Mommy's thumb while he is eating

 He is also trying to hold his bottle!!

He is trying to be a big boy and balance on one foot

He can almost touch the floor but still needs  book so he can bounce

So that is the update on Drake..not much news on the rest of us.

Mommy is still looking for a job and Daddy is working hard everyday in the hot hot sun!

McLovin is still his dumb self and Toupe is skinny as ever...poor old lady kitty, but she is still doing well!!

This was our Saturday...

We decided to head to LA again and check out Griffith Observatory. On our way there we stopped at Gloria's Cafe (a little Mexican hole in the wall we saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!) It was delicious...sorry we didn't take pictures there :)

Drake slept all the way there, but he was awake for the observatory. Next time we go we will be going at night, on a weeknight, and we will take Drake's carrier...no room for a stroller with all those people!!

Parking was interesting...we had to park about a mile down the mountain and walk up to the Observatory. It was a nice walk though, awesome views and a nice breeze the whole time!

At the observatory we got to see all kinds of stuff about the sun, moon, and stars. We even saw the periodic table they have there with all the elements and the Hollywood sign!! Here are a few pics from our visit :)

Look who found his tongue...

So as I am sure you guessed from the title of this entry Drake has discovered his tongue! He has been sticking it out all day long today and laughs if you stick your tongue out back at him. He is growing so quickly and seems like he figures something new out everyday :) Here are more pictures of Drake and his "new" tongue!

We decided to let Drake try some fruit and since he can't have the actual fruit we gave him some fruit juice. We would just squeeze whatever fruit we were eating onto a spoon and see what would happen. We are only doing 1 fruit a day...just in case we discover an allergy (or the poops!!)
He has tried plums (thanks to Daddy), oranges (thanks to Mommy) and as of last night watermelon (thanks to both of his parents!) He LOVED all of them :) We hope this trend continues...we hope to have a little boy that eats what his parents eat since his Daddy loves to cook (and his Mommy loves to eat!!) What fruit should he try next??

Happy Drake (an answer for Ms Lynn!)

Drake wasn't always so happy..he was VERY gassy and cranky, but when we went to his Grandma & Pap'a house they sent us to the doctor and he changed his formula to soy. Now he is much happier!! He only gets cranky when he is hungry or tired. We have him on an eating schedule (finally) and he gets "sleepy eyes" when he needs a nap. We are slowly getting the hang of this parenting thing :)

Heads up...

Drake is starting to get REALLY good at holding his little head up! Today he was getting in his tummy time while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...which he loves! Mickey makes him smile and come close to laughing...hopefully we will be hearing his laugh in the next few weeks!!

Take 2 on our trip to PA

OK, so I tried this once and the link didn't work (trial and error!!) Fingers crossed it works this time!

We went to PA and Drake got to meet his family, including Grandma and Pap! He even got to meet a few friends there too!

He did OK on the flight to PA, the flight back was not so great...Mommy & Daddy have learned that Drake should fly early in the morning!

We even went to a cardboard boat race at the river with Grandma, Pap, Aunt Patti, Uncle Rob, all his Kuntz cousins, Aunt Nonie, Aunt Deb, Uncle Bob, Cheyenne and Lori!!
